By Katy Ross Seven-year itch for Madonna and Guy? The weekend is over but rumours of marital strife continue to dog Madonna and Guy Ritchie.
The Daily Mirror alleges that Madonna has mentioned the d
-word – yes, that's divorce – and the couple are said to be struggling after a new series of rows.
On top of this, both were pictured without their wedding rings on over the weekend and are said to be leading virtually separate lives.
So what's going on? Well, it would appear that the film director is less keen than his pop-star wife to call time on their seven-year marriage. And, in a bid to save the relationship, desperate Guy, 39, turned to long-term friend Trudie Styler over the weekend. Trudie, wife of pop star Sting, was the matchmaker who introduced the couple, and is godmother to their son Rocco.
According to the Daily Mirror, a source close to Guy said: "Trudie is the person responsible for putting Madonna and Guy together, so she almost feels part of the problems.
"She is very close to both of them and could act as a go-between if things get worse. She is well placed to advise them. She can see it from both sides and I am sure Guy would be keen to take her advice."
Time will tell whether the heart-to-heart will do the trick...

But it was the singer's appearance at Glastonbury on Saturday night, at the end of which she appeared to attack a fan in front of 80,000 witnesses, that has finally convinced her she needs help.
The troubled 24-year-old singer, who has a long history of drug abuse, seemed to rain blows on the man as those surrounding him reeled back in astonishment.
According to her publicist, she lashed out at someone who tried to grab her hair as she finished her set in front of the stage, but crowd members claimed in a report by the Daily Mail that she was responding to a derogatory comment about her husband Blake Fielder-Civil, after she spent much of the show making slurred references to "my Blakey".
Whatever the explanation, it appears to have been a turning point for the singer, who is believed to have checked back into a specialist clinic after the incident.

But according to the Daily Record the part-time dance teacher from Glasgow has now heaped more shame on his family by refusing to apologise for his antics – unless he gets paid £1,000.
A family friend was quoted as saying: "He is sorry for what happened but he's not going to do anything for nothing."
A show insider responded: "What Dennis did was seriously offensive. When he was evicted, the Big Brother bosses didn't allow him to do any interview with Davina McCall or any of the others shows associated with it.
"Once back in Scotland, clearly they can't help it if he crawls out of the woodwork, but you have to say he has a brass neck asking for money after what happened."

The incredible shrinking Ms MossBy Kayt TurnerAt first glance, Kate Moss's minder looks huuuge, but he's actually a seven-stone weakling who's still waiting for his Charles Atlas course to arrive. And that's a Mini they're about to get into.
Great bone structureA skeleton T-shirt is Kate Nash's way of fitting in with the size-zero celebs. Don't worry, Kate, they're not that bright and will never work out that it's not your actual real bones they can see.
Bad hair dayIf it weren't for the dodgy pink hair, Lily Allen would be a dead ringer for a bad-tempered Jade Goody what with that skanky cardigan and sour expression.

Murray in a hurryBy Martin Allen How's the fridge? Well stocked with strawberries and Pimm's? Good, because there's only one show in town today: Andy Murray versus Richard Gasquet at Wimbledon. Murray is third up on the centre court, and the opening match, between reigning champ Roger Federer and former world No.1 Leyton Hewitt, ain't bad either; but expect new levels of hysteria and unrealistic expectation when the dour Scot makes an appearance to whip the home crowd into a frenzy. Victory for Murray would see him into his first grand slam quarter-final, though the Frenchman has beaten him on their two previous meetings and is seeded 8 to Murray's 12. The British No.1 has looked confident and at times brilliant at SW19 this year, however, and if he reproduces the form that did for Tommy Haas on Saturday, he could be through to the last eight by the end of the day.
If the weather holds, we should be able to watch Andy's big brother Jamie in the mixed doubles with Liezel Huber, taking on Tursunov and Petrova of Russia. Jamie is the reigning champ in this one after winning last year with Jelena Jankovic and more flirting than your average episode of Sex and the City. Kleenex at the ready – it could be a weepie.
