Profit before tax and one-off items fell to £205.3m in the year to May 3 after the firm, which also owns PC World, was forced to issue two profit warnings. New chief executive John Browett said the trading outlook for the year ahead remains "very tough". "It's going to be a challenging year," he cautioned. However, sales at DSG's chains, which also include UniEuro in Italy and Elkjop in the Nordic countries, rose 8% to £8.5bn. Earlier this year, Browett laid out a recovery plan for DSG which will see greater investment in customer service among other measures. The dividend paid to shareholders was also cut.

Cockney challenge The EastEnders cast have been through the mill this past month, what with surrogate mother May blowing up the kitchen in a gas attack, and Bobby Davro having to wear a Best of British waistcoat and pretend not to be wondering how the heck he'll get an Olivier for it. They must be gluttons for punishment, then, as Anne Robinson puts Davro, Charlie Clements (Bradley), Gemma Bissix (Clare) and Linda Henry (Shirley) through their paces tonight.
Weakest Link Special, BBC1, 8pm.
Are you really going out in that? How would we even get out the door in the morning if it wasn't for our Gok? Now that he's made us all comfortable with pirouetting in front of a kaleidoscopic mirror and cat walking in our undies in public, Gok Wan's keen to get stuck in to our wardrobes. Accompanied by Alexa Chung, they try to prove to the British public that you don't have to be (or marry) a millionaire and be draped in labels in order to have style.

The timebomb dressGood grief! Stand well back because someone is gonna get hurt when that baby blows. You know that actress/singer Jennifer Hudson isn't able to sit down, go up stairs, eat or even take deep breaths in that, er, dress.
Chillin' at the operaIs this Katherine Jenkins' gangsta pose? Because it's almost as convincing as the singer's sweet little dress with the frilled collar.
Woolly thinkingThere are a couple of things about rapper Jacki-O's Chanel outfit – had you guessed it was Chanel? It must be nearly 80 degrees in LA – and she's in wool. Not only does it look hot (and not in a Paris Hilton kind of way), it looks unbelievably itchy.
SPORTBy Andrew SmithMurray faces Belgian in Wimbledon second roundCome mid-afternoon, Scottish sports fans will be training their sights on Wimbledon's centre court, where Andy Murray will face Belgian Xavier Malisse. A potentially awkward second-round match for the Dunblane hopeful, his opponent reached the semi-finals in 2002, though is considered a shadow of the player he was then as the result of injuries and form crises. Britain's no.1 male tennis player will follow the country's no.1 female, Anne Keothavong, who faces defending champion Venus Williams on SW19's main arena at 1pm. Expect Murray to be walking out of centre court at around 2pm then.
Russia meets Spain in Euro 2008 semi-finalIt is impossible to know what to expect when Russia and Spain square up in Ernst Happel stadium at 7.45pm tonight for the second semi-final of the ever-surprising Euro 2008. Little over a fortnight ago, Spain thumped Guus Hiddink's side 4-1 in the group stages. But that was a Russian team deprived of the talents of dazzling playmaker Andrei Arshavin. The 27-year-old returned from a two-game suspension to inspire his side to scintillating wins over Sweden and Holland – victories that have now made his team the tip of many to set up a final against Germany and the Zenit St Petersburg midfielder the second favourite to win the player of the tournament accolade.

Guaranteed to put nostalgic grins on the faces of 30 and 40-somethings and to provoke hoots of derisive laughter from PS3-loving youngsters.
