Part of the Curations group of sites, Oobject explains that it's "somewhere between a blog and a directory". They create lists of gadgets using their own nous and reader input, via tags that are placed in "wists".
People visiting the site are invited to vote on the items, in order to create rankings, "something like Billboard charts for gadgets". They also round up gadget, design and technology news. One of our favourite categories is "WTF is that?" It contains pictures of inventions that defy description and their use is the subject of lively debate.
