READING the news that former Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters lost his inflatable pig during his performance at Coachella on Sunday, well, I thought someone had to be telling porkies.
But no, it's true. The giant flying pig broke free from its tethers above the crowd and drifted off as Waters rocked out on (what else?) Pigs from the 1977 album Animals at the three-day festival in the US.

As it broke away from the stage, sailing off high over concertgoers' heads, towards the dark side of the moon no doubt, Waters was heard to exclaim, "That's my pig!"

It's not the first time Waters has lost a pink porker, either. During a Pink Floyd photoshoot in 1977, another helium-filled pig made a break for it from above Battersea power station, forcing – and this is true – flights to be cancelled as it passed near Heathrow.

Anyway, Roger is offering a $10,000 reward and four festival tickets in exchange for its safe return.

Anyone with information should email lostpig@coachella.com You'd be forgiven for not believing a word of this either, but Scarlett Johansson's upcoming album is nowhere near as bad as some people might have imagined.

Seriously, she does a job wrapping her pillow lips around the songs of Tom Waits on debut album Anywhere I Lay My Head.

As a rule, you'd be right to be suspicious of actors making records. But remember, ScarJo's previous, if fleeting, forays into music have shown flashes of talent.

She emerged with her credibility intact after singing with indie legends The Jesus And Mary Chain at last year's Coachella festival, and let's not forget the abiding memory of her in THAT pink wig, singing karaoke to The Pretenders' Brass In Pocket during Lost In Translation.

As expected, though, the album received mixed reviews after tracks were leaked on the internet last week.

NME gives an eight out of ten review stating, 'This is a brilliant album that will no doubt top some Best of 2008 lists'. But music fans have not been so kind. Of the video for the track Falling Down, one internet blogger says, 'The only way this could be worse is if the monitor grew arms and started stabbing you'.
