Scots vocalist up for prize

SCOTS singer Isobel Campbell, previously part of pop act Belle and Sebastian, was yesterday named as a finalist in this year's Mercury music awards for Ballad of the Broken Seas.
The album, made with Mark Lanegan, is one of 12 nominated for a prize of £20,000.
