"THERE were many beautiful sights on the journey from Gairloch to Thurso, including stunning golden sandy beaches and breathtaking mountains," says Steve Sinclair after a holiday in the north of Scotland. "While negotiating one of the steep, twisting roads, we saw this dramatic and powerful image of three horses. Looking down, their proud stance gave them a truly majestic presence."

Can you do better than this? We are looking for the best amateur photography in Scotland. The choice of subject – people, industry, nature, scenery – doesn't matter. The pictures just have to be eye-catching.
