Three Cheers for Peter Buckley Hill,Hip Hip HrWhat insight to the human psyche!!!!Good on yer mate.
Well done Peter. I remember my schooldays when the fringe was 50p a go and you could spend the day in town and see six things for a few quid. The Fringe opened my eyes to Shakespeare, comedy & music I could never have afforded to see at today's prices. I'm sure this will make a change to the demographics and avoid the festival becoming a hothouse for middle-aged tourists - though lower costs might just bring this middle-aged tourist home. What would be great is if free fringe could spread to theatrical productions too - after all Shakespeare's touring company used to play in pub courtyards and other town spaces for what they could get in a bucket.
