FORMER Scotland and Rangers goalkeeper Andy Goram has quit his coaching role at Clyde for personal reasons.
Goram, 44, was recruited by ex-Ibrox team-mate John Brown when he became manager at Broadwood earlier this year.
Brown said: "Andy has tendered his resignation with immediate effect due to personal reasons. I thank him for his contribution. The i
mprovement in both our young keepers, Peter Cherrie and David Hutton, have been clear and I am sure they will go on to benefit immensely from his input.
"While we are all sad to see Andy go, everyone at Clyde wishes him the best for the future."
Meanwhile, Queen's Park head coach Gardner Speirs was delighted to sign a new deal at the club just eight months after leaving his assistant manager's job at Partick Thistle to replace Billy Stark at the Second Division club. Speirs, who has tied himself to the club for a further two years, said: "I was delighted when the club approached me to discuss a new contract.
"It has been an exciting and challenging start to my job here with re-building the team during the summer.
"There are good people at this club from the players all the way to the Boardroom and I am delighted to be part of it."
