THE warm orange glow of the sun rising above Havana's hazy skyline is said to have provided the inspiration for this cocktail. It is unlikely that the effect would have been quite as intoxicating had it been known that the sky's unusual hue is due in part to the thick layer of smog that circles the city. Luckily, the drink tastes great.
½ shot grenadine
3 shots grapefruit juice
2 shots dark rum

Place the grenadine in a tall glass and fill with crushed ice. Gently pour in the grapefruit juice and slowly add the rum. Serve layered and with a stirrer.
