Lucy Hailey, 32, a business consultant, of Montpelier Park, Bruntsfield, chooses her five all-time favourite runs in and around the city of Edinburgh.
The Pentlands Fantastic country and city views, both during the day and at night. By the way, don't forget your head torch - essential at night.

Arthur's Seat So handy, a big hill run right in the middle of the city.

Blackford Hill It's always so much fun to run past something as unusual as the observatory.

Braid Hills Dodging the golf balls makes you run even faster.

Calton Hill Not a big one, but good for hill repetitions to improve your stamina.
