If the eyes are the windows to the soul, it seems only right to embellish them with a decent pair of curtains. The double-whammy approach is the latest attack on mediocre eyelashes and Guerlain has stepped into the fray with Le 2.
This gold tube houses a medium-length wand with a short-bristled brush which lengthens, straightens and evenly coats the lashes with no smudging. The second, tiny, angled brush is designed to tease out every last frond individually for that wide-eyed, Bambi effect. It dries very quickly, so do not attempt a second coat but attend to any unevenness with a lash comb instead. Great for making the most of lashes that are long but not lustrous.

Guerlain Le 2, £21, is available at most department stores.
