What is your earliest memory of Edinburgh? I remember making daisy chains while sitting on a log beside the Union Canal in Wester Hailes. I cycled by a few months ago and was really pleased to see it was still there.
What are your memories of
school? I went to Harris Academy in Dundee and I remember making up dance routines to anything and everything. My friends and I loved all the cheesy 80s and early 90s music and would prance around our bedrooms. I still would if I thought I could get away with it.
Where is your favourite place in Edinburgh and why? The Royal Mile during the Festival as it always has a great buzz and all the foreign accents make me feel like I am on holiday. I love watching the street performers as some of their stunts are amazing, especially when they involve members of the public.
What are the best things about Edinburgh? You have all the advantages of living in a city with the coast and countryside just round the corner.
What would you change about the city? The vast divide between the rich and poor impacts greatly on peoples' daily lives and their opportunities for the future.
Describe a perfect Edinburgh day/night out. It would involve walking down the Royal Mile during the Festival en route to spending a sunny day at the Pleasance, catching some shows and sipping cold cider.
Which sports interest you? I love watching rugby and celebrating or commiserating in the bar after.
What was your most embarrassing moment? Once when I had not long started a new job I managed to get locked in between a set of double doors. Luckily I had just put the phone numbers of one of my colleagues in my mobile so they could come down and rescue me (when they had stopped laughing!)
What is your greatest achievement? It is hard to say as I feel very lucky to have the opportunities to achieve things that I am proud of. I would prefer to think that my greatest achievements will always be surpassed.
