ANYONE who has been to Marbella or Puerto Banus will know that hidden among the plethora of expensive gourmet restaurants lie the hidden gems that are authentic tapas bars.
Thronging with locals catching up over some wine and classic Spanish dishes, these haunts are some of the most coveted in the Costa del Sol.

However, for the majority of us who can't afford the air fare over there – let alone the holiday – it's time to check out Iggs on Jeffrey Street. Named after its proprietor Iggy Campos, who originated from Teruel in Aragon, this eatery knows how to do real Spanish food and not the bland mass-produced versions with a pre-packaged sauce many competitors serve up.

Starters include a selection of Spanish air-dried Iberico meats, home-made fishcakes with a saffron alioli, monkfish and mussel chowder.

Mains include options such as seafood and fish stew with chorizo, poached fillet of hake and ribeye of Aberdeen Angus beef – and for just £15.75.

Trust us, every single option is mouthwatering and food envy is a definite when ordering.
