PATIENTS are being given an opportunity to voice their thoughts on healthcare during a debate organised by the Open University.
“Listen to me, I’m a Patient” will take place tomorrow at the Scottish Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh, as part of a national series of discussion events inspired by the recent OU-produced BBC2 television series, “Alternative Therapies”.

Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon said: “I welcome the Open University’s debate and the opportunity it provides for patients to share their experiences. As a government, we also want to make sure we listen to patients and respond to their experiences.

“One of the key challenges for the NHS in Scotland is to ensure the provision of more personalised care and a health service that responds to the needs of patients.”

The event is on from 7pm to 9pm. Anyone who wants to attend can book free places by e-mailing or by calling 01908-659 993.
