Andrew Bonnington, 30, a youth worker from Polwarth, picks his top summer events.
The Fringe Some locals can't stand the Fringe and the strange arty people it attracts, but I love it.

Start of the football season You can't beat the first game at Tynecastle in August when you can watch footy and get a tan.

The Film Festival I don't really go in for the arty cinema thing, but it's good to head down to Cineworld for a bit of celeb-spotting.

East Fortune Airshow I can never decide if I like the hi-tech jets or the old wartime planes the best.

The Tattoo Before I went I thought there could be nothing more boring than marching bands, but it was spectacular.
