Craig Docherty, 46, a company director from Ravelston, lists his top five spots for food, wine and banter in Edinburgh.
La Bruschetta, Clifton Terrace Authentic Italian food – I'd recommend the house red.

Bombay Feast, Hillhouse Road I know about curry and it is one of the best in Edinburgh. Try the Chicken pathia.

Roseburn Bar, Roseburn Terrace A traditional bar with a good selection of beer. The ideal venue for watching rugby or the footie.

Star Bar, Northumberland Place For a game of bar football on the best table around.

Pizza Jolly, Elm Row The best value Italian lunch in Edinburgh.
