ST ANDREW'S First Aid is a Scottish charity that provides on-site medical help at rock concerts and fêtes – and first aid courses to industry. I encountered them at the recent Burns Festival in Ayr and their volunteers were really hands-on and helpful.
It made me think about the time I had to apply first aid to a wee boy who broke his leg sledging on a hill near the bar I owned in Glasgow's East End.
