LIVINGSTON have signed French goalkeeper Pierre-Antoine Martini on a two-year deal and are waiting on a decision from Hearts keeper Anthony Basso about a possible loan move.
Martini played 56 minutes against Celtic last week, putting in an assured performance and is sure to get the gloves again tomorrow when the Lions face Stranraer.
Martini came through the ranks at Nice and recently played for Devon's Tiverton Town
. Club chairman Angelo Massone, said: "We are very pleased to have Pierre-Antoine on board, but it is important we have two strong goalkeepers who can compete for a place in the first team.
"We have spoken to Hearts and we are hopeful we can add Basso to our squad for the new season. The player is keen to come, but the financial decision lies with him."
Teenage striker Leigh Griffiths, meanwhile, has agreed a new deal that will keep him at the club until summer 2011. His contract still had a year to run, but after impressing under former boss Mark Proctor, the new regime at Almondvale were keen to secure the Edinburgh youngster on a firmer contract.
Griffiths, known as Sparky, said: "Leaving Livingston has never been an option for me. I'm still young and I have still got a lot of learning to do. Staying here will give me the best chance of playing first-team football and developing my game."
