LIVINGSTON chief Tommaso Angelini has insisted club captain James McPake is not for sale and will be staying at Almondvale to take part in the Italian revolution.
St Mirren's £30,000 bid for the influential defender was swiftly dismissed by the new hierarchy at Almondvale, who clearly rate the player.
Reports have also linked fellow defender Dave Mackay with a move away from Livingston, but Angelini insist
the Lions are no longer a selling club. Angelini, who helped broker the deal that brought new chairman Angelo Massone to the club, said: "James is going nowhere. There is no need for us to sell anybody and we want to keep hold of important players of his quality."
However, one player on the move is Robert Snodgrass, who is being courted by clubs in England with Crewe Alexandra and Leyton Orient heading the race for the Scotland under-21 internationalist. The player turned down a double-your-money-deal to stay on at Almondvale but, because of his age, the club will receive compensation for his signature. However, reports of a £100,000 price tag appear wide of the mark with Massone prepared to settle for something around £30,000.
Midfielder Murray Davidson has agreed a two-year deal and Angelini expects a considerable number of new players to arrive once the Scottish Football League have formally lifted the club's transfer embargo.
He added: "It is inappropriate to talk about specific payers while the paperwork is still being done by the SFL but we have paid Emmnauel Dorado what he was owed.
"We are looking at Scottish players and players from abroad."
New coach Roberto Landi will be officially unveiled by the club in the next few days and he will be will bring in Valter Bernini as assistant and they will be supported by fitness coach Nazareo Salvatori, who once guided Roberto Baggio.
One of Landi's first duties will be to assess the squad and finalise pre-season friendlies.
The Almondvale side will face Coventry on July 29 and have pencilled in other friendlies against Celtic and Romanian outfit Unirea, coached by former Chelsea star Dan Petrescu.
And Angelini revealed he is in talks to bring a Serie A outfit to West Lothian, probably in August.
He added: "Celtic are very serious in wanting to bring a team to Almondvale and there will perhaps be a Serie A club involved. We are in talks at present."
