MARK PROCTOR will not walk away from his job as boss of Livingston, until told otherwise.
The Evening News understands chairman Pearse Flynn and new co-owner Anthony McMullen will subject Proctor to a review of the season, likely to be this week, before any decision is made. Proctor remains in the hot seat and has told four current firs
t-team stars he will not be offering them new contracts. Goalkeeper Colin Stewart, defenders Mark Tinkler and Craig James, plus striker Steven Craig have all been axed along with teenage keeper Marc Lunn.
"It's never easy telling players that they'll be moving on but I'd like to thank them for their professionalism," said Proctor.
Proctor saw his team thrashed 5-2 at St Johnstone in the club's final First Division fixture of the season on Saturday, a result which cannot have helped his cause.
Incredibly, the Lions suffered the same result in Perth the previous time the clubs met back in December.
Reports surfaced on Saturday that former Bohemians and Carlisle United boss Roddy Collins had been installed as director of football, given a £2million war chest and was set to install Jackie McNamara as manager after failing to woo John Hartson.
MacNamara would work alongside Collins but still play. However, Proctor said: "I had great support from the fans on Saturday. It has been a difficult season but I would like to be here next year and I haven't been told otherwise. The team is looking to the future now and I would like to build on the foundations."
