CAMILLE

QUEEN'S HALL, 10PM, TODAY UNTIL 13 AUGUST
She's back, with her biggest shows yet, but only for a week, so get in quick. Camille O'Sullivan is the best cabaret singer on the Fringe, crooning, cooing and belting her way through the works of Nick Cave, Jacques Brel and more in a way that's sex
y, charismatic, poignant and compelling. Go see.

BONGO CLUB CABARET

BONGO CLUB, 10PM, UNTIL 24 AUGUST

Regular readers will know of this magazine's affection for the Bongo's cabaret, a mix of theatre, burlesque, music and more from across the Fringe. While it can be as hit-and-miss as any festival cabaret, the Bongo has good taste, so at least one mindblowing act tends to be guaranteed.

MUSIC

MICHAEL MARRA

ACOUSTIC MUSIC CENTRE, 7:15PM

A one-off Fringe show for one of Scotland's great singer-songwriters, whose music is full of social comment and dark wit.

MUSIC

PAUL HAIG

CABARET VOLTAIRE, 7pm

A bit of pop history. Paul Haig was once frontman of cult Scottish band Josef K, who released just one album on Scottish indie label Postcard (home also to Orange Juice and Aztec Camera) but were a huge influence on younger Scottish bands such as Franz Ferdinand. He's now playing his first live dates in years, including this festival show.

THE WILDERS

SPIEGEL GARDEN, TODAY UNTIL 10 AUGUST, 8PM

The Spiegel Garden is being cautious in its programming this year, mostly concentrating on short runs of concerts by returning favourites. If it makes the venue feel less exciting than usual, at least you know you're in safe hands – particularly with these rocket-fuelled hillbillies.
