DESPITE the generally objectionable nature of Trent Reznor's oeuvre – the sound of a malfunctioning waste-disposal unit with a middle-aged man whinging about why nobody likes him – he has maintained his commitment to digital downloads. This time: a f
ree EP of MP3s by the opening acts on his tour, including Crystal Castles and Does It Offend You, Yeah? and the catchily named A Place to Bury Strangers. The Crystal Castles tracks are well worth it.

AMERICAN FOR FUNNY

www.cracked.com

COMEDY sites tend to be hit and miss (particularly British ones). But I read Cracked.com and laughed. It's not The Onion, and some of it is a bit near the knuckle, but any US site brave enough to have the heading "L Ron Hubbard's Five Most Impressive Lies (Besides Scientology)" is to be admired.

MY BIG SISTER IS...

www.myspace.com/solange

IF EVER there was a chance to cry "nepotism!" then this is it. Solange is the little sis of Beyoncé. With a name like that, who else could she be? Yet she has inherited the same genes as her elder sibling, or perhaps her producer. Anyway, while the video for the latest Pharrell-produced Supremes-tastic single I Decided is ace, it's the Free Masons's version you want. Sandcastle Disco is rather good too.

DEATHMATCH

www.addictinggames.com/zombiearena.html

SIMPLE but infuriating berserker game where you try to shoot everything that comes at you. Initial anger turned to determination but I still didn't get far. Oh, it has zombies in it, but that's a side issue.

OH, IT'S THE OTHER HANCOCK

www.sonypictures.co.uk/movies/hancock

WHEN I heard about Hancock I thought it was a big-screen version of the lugubrious comedian's life. Silly me. It's the latest Will Smith vehicle, in which he plays a drunk, misunderstood superhero, hated by everyone – particularly Greenpeace and whales. It looks quite funny and Smith has been on good form – I Am Legend was cool in a Charlton Heston does Omega Man kind of way – so it should blitz the box offices.
