THIS photograph was taken last autumn by Claire McVinnie of Tayport. "Auchmithie beach, which is just north of Arbroath, is one of my favourite places for a picnic as I love to listen to the waves lapping over the beautiful pebbles and then slooshing back out," she says. "I really enjoy capturing images from unusual angles – I lay down on the pebbles to take this one."
Can you do better than this? We are looking for the best amateur photography in Scotland. The choice of subject – people, industry, nature, scenery – doesn't matter. The pictures just have to be eye-catching.
