TAKING the location of Greyfriars Kirkyard as their starting point, musical combo The Martians create a series of increasingly zany scenarios derived from Edinburgh's past in this triumphant new show.

With the graveyard having inspired the creation of Ebenezer Scrooge, Frankenstein's Monster and Jekyll and Hyde, as well as providing Burke and Hare with some gruesome entrepreneurial ideas, this is a goldmine of ideas mined to perfection by a cast with unlimited energy, while the clever script is complemented by some fine songs.

With a refreshingly self-deprecating style and easygoing banter with both each other and the audience, The Martians have crafted a deceptively haphazard show that has real heart. Heavenly.
