VETERAN American comic Joan Rivers is set to be one of the major stars at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The Scotsman can reveal she will be starring in her semi-autobiographical play, which was premiered in Hollywood earlier this year. A Work In Progress by a Life in Progress is a four-character play set in Rivers's dressing room before an Academy Awards ceremony.

Also expected to be a hit is a play based on the true story of the British ambassador to Uzbekistan who left his wife and children for a nightclub dancer.

And the Appleton Tower at Edinburgh University will play host to Office Party, a play which sees audience members helping enact a raucous work night out.
