C SOCO (VENUE 348)
HOW frustrating. Just starts out surprisingly brightly for an absurdist play about a woman accused of stabbing a man at a bus stop with an umbrella.
The performances from Anneka Sharpley as the accused and George Featherby as her befuddled accuser help a great deal as they're naturally gifted comic performers, and almost make this worth seeing.
Unfortunately the script, by acclaimed Scots author Ali Smith, runs out of steam and ideas after 20 minutes and ends up chasing its own tail.
