'WHY would I come down from heaven to sit in an overheated room to tell my story for the third year in a row?", wonders Jesus – aka Irish comedian Abie Philbin Bowman.
Well, some of the jokes have become rather dated, but this remains a reasonably entertaining hour.
Essentially it wonders what would happen if a bearded Middle-Eastern religious martyr called Jesus tried to get past US Homeland Security today.
His narrative peaks with his detention in Guantanamo Bay after he fails to adequately explain his complicated parentage, a section that is the meaty filling in an increasingly stale sandwich.
The political observations aren't quite of the same calibre as Rory Bremner's, but mercifully it's more entertaining than Dead Ringers. Runs until August 19.
