Dean Mackenzie, 37, artist, Polwarth: "I saw Andrew O'Neill's Totally Spot-On History of British Industry at the Underbelly. I'm not sure it all really worked. He comes across like a really clever guy and some people seemed to love i
t, but I didn't quite get all the references - some were about real people while others weren't. It was an odd mix but I'd recommend trying it if the tickets get any cheaper."
Keith McDermott, 36, chef, Roseburn: "The festival this year is great apart from the weather. I'm off to see Jerry Sadowitz just now. I've seen him on TV a few years ago. He's quite close to the bone."
Sue Tuson, 54, self-employed, city centre: "I ventured with friends to the Gilded Balloon and Assembly Rooms to see Kate Robbins and Count Arthur Strong respectively. I thought they were both excellent entertainment. Shame Kate couldn't have done more of the Spitting Image voices but what she did were spot on."
Emma Kerr, 21, student, Newington: "Go see the Caesar Twins, they're awesome, amazing,. loved it, especially the bit with the silks, that was cool, and the bit with the water. It was all really good. There was a good mixture. I saw them in La Clique a couple of years ago, and just being in Edinburgh you hear a lot about them."
