I do have respect for GP's in general but there are good and bad in every profession.

For the public pay isn't an issue , accessibility is.

Even allowing a few days to make an appointment , you are lucky to get one. If you need to see a GP the same day , in many cases you have no chance.

House visits and visits to nursing homes very rare , advice from NHS 24 and out of hours GP seems to be to call an ambulance whether it is really needed or not.

Patient attendance at A&E is on the up , when asked many say they cant wait and they cant get an appointment.

Whatever payment GP's get and in many cases at present it is more than some hospital consultants.

If you want a pay rise then actually SEE your patients instead of inappropriately referring them to A&E.
