I wonder how many people from Central and Latin America there are in Scotland today who could donate blood if the T-Cruzi test was available in Scotland?

I am not allowed to give blood in Switzerland because I am British and therefore could be carrying BSE in the human form!

I hadn't realised this! By the way, the ban on people whose mothers were born in Latin or Central America also prevents them from being Organ Donors, so if you come into thast category - throw away your Organ Donor cards!!
