Lewis Hamilton was stripped of victory following today's Belgian Grand Prix after stewards imposed a 25-second penalty on the McLaren driver.
Hamilton had taken the chequered flag after a dramatic conclusion to the race at Spa but a stewards' inquiry was launched into an incident on lap 42 of the 44-lap race.

Two circuits from the end, Hamilton made a move on entry into the Bus Stop chicane, and collided with Kimi Raikkonen as the pair battled for the lead.

That pushed the Briton on to the run-off area and he resumed in the lead.

He then let Raikkonen through, fearing an instant penalty from the race stewards.

However, on reviewing footage of the race they decided to punish Hamilton anyway.

Raikkonen later crashed out as the wet weather took its toll.
The effect of the stewards' decision meant victory was awarded to Ferrari's Felipe Massa, with Nick Heidfeld (BMW) promoted to second place and Hamilton falling to third.

What a complete farce.............the governing body applying their annual gifts to Ferrari to keep the championship alive.

There are obviously no depths to which Ferrari will not stoop to keep cheating their way to the top. Schumacher won at least one of his championships by deliberately ramming his closest rival off the track but luckily he was driving a Ferrari so no action was taken. This is the most blatantly bent decision I have seen in over 50 years of following F1. If Bernie thinks it will make it more exciting he's on the wrong planet All those young men went out today and drove courageously Raikkonen, Hamilton, Massa only to be robbed of their dignity by the charlatans of the FIA. It really is becoming Ferrari Internaional Aid

Another victory for used car sales and S & M party organisers.
Absolutely no class. The FIA falls into the roses and comes up smelling of fertiliser.
Any chance of seeing "the stewards" without the metaphorical gun at their collective, vested interest head?

The fool bought it on himself. He didn't let the Ferrari win. Everyone knows the Ferrari ought to win so it was up to the stewards to make sure the result was right at the end.
