THISTLE stepped-up their preparations for the new season with an impressive show in the Firhill sunshine.
But Ian McCall's side were unable to break down a stubborn English League One outfit.

Thistle went close with headers from Marc Twaddle and Mark Roberts – who both got on the end of inviting crosses from the excellent Paul Paton – and substitute Kevin McKinlay should have scored the winner, but he fired a simple chance over the bar.
