The African Children's Choir are back for their third Fringe year. Formed, once again, to raise awareness of the plight of African children, and to fund their education, the 2008 choir consists of children who have lost their parents to poverty or illness, particularly AIDS.

If you've never seen it, grab the chance to see the late Scottish artist Ian Hamilton Finlay's extraordinary living work of art, a classical garden built on moorland near Edinburgh. There are bus trips every Wednesday throughout August, starting today. Booking is essential.
