ONE wine perfect for the sunshine is rosé, and there are plenty of exciting ones to choose from.
Marques de Caceres Rioja Rosé 2008 – £7.99, Oddbins

This is fresh and elegant with floral and herbal notes on the nose, and rich redcurrant, wild strawberry and raspberry sorbet flavours. Try it with paella.

Marques de Monistrol Cava Reserva Rosé NV – £7.99, Waitrose

This is a great value rosé sparkler. Crisp and delicate with summer berry fruit flavours and a fine, creamy mousse.

Sancerre Rosé Claude Riffault 2008 – £12.49, Majestic

Flinty and crisp on the palate with a delicate finish. Try matching it with equally delicate fish.
